The "Action Team" of the GREENUS project at Can Tho University recently organized a "2HAND STORE" event on the university campus with the aim of raising community awareness about waste separation and environmental protection.

The "2HAND STORE" not only attracted more than 100 CTU’s students and staffs. The event conveyed the project's essential purpose: proper waste separation. At the event, participants learned the efficient waste separation process and had opportunities to exchange environmentally friendly items.

The “Action team” meticulously prepared and encouraged participants to participate in the exchange of recyclable materials. To join the exchange, individuals simply needed to bring reusable items, such as textbooks, empty water bottles, glass containers, clothing, and various other items. This event sparked enthusiasm and creativity as participants had the opportunity to swap their items following straightforward rules, such as exchanging 2-4 plastic bottles for a pen and a piece of candy. Furthermore, if they exchanged more than 2 textbooks, they would receive 2 notebooks. All the exchanged items were subsequently categorized based on their material composition: glass, metal, paper, and plastic.

At the "2HAND STORE", the "Action Team" displayed creative posters to capture the attention of students and staff while helping them gain a deeper understanding of the importance of environmental conservation in the present and the future. This event not only provided opportunities to build a sense of community among members of CTU but also represented a crucial step in promoting positive change in waste management and environmental protection.
